This week we heard from Rahel from Hera Zürich in Switzerland.

Share the story of Hera Zürich.

I was working as a stylist for several fashion magazines and always had in mind to create a men’s fashion store in Zurich. When I was creating a wedding story for a Swiss magazine, I realised the lack of cool and modern bridal stores. The idea was born and 9 months later the doors of Hera Zürich were opened.

What inspired you to go into the bridal industry?

Even though the pressure is very big sometimes, the reward of being such a big part of a bride’s journey is absolutely priceless. People will never stop getting married (even during the times of a pandemic) and it is an endless romantic business, even though everything else is going very fast in our world.

Tell us a bride memory that always brings a smile to your face.

“I am so scared that nothing is going to fit me” – is a sentence I hear so often and so many brides are super insecure about themselves. Seeing them walking out with a huge smile on their face and absolutely amazed by how they looked in these beautiful dresses is the biggest reward you can get.

What gets you most excited to go to work each day?

Work? I have the luxury of honestly saying that I love what I do and that it doesn’t feel like working to me!

What’s one piece of advice you give to every bride?

Listen to your guts, try to feel what you really want and not what everyone else wants. You are the most beautiful when you are confident in what you are wearing.

What’s one moment in your career in bridal that you’ll never forget?

The opening of my very own store, my first appointment (I was SO nervous) which was with the best bride I could wish for and just all the lovely connections and relationships that I build with my brides every day.

If you were choosing a MWL dress for your big day, which one would you pick?

Georgie with a beautiful long veil or a cape on top! Fell in love with Georgie the moment I saw it!
