Zahira + Ryan

How did you meet?

Ryan and I met through a mutual friend initially and ended up going to the same college and studying the same major. We ended up having the same class together and we’re able to become friends first before him finally getting the courage to ask me out.

When did you know they were the one?

After our first trip to Seattle I knew Ryan was the one. He was scared of flying but knew I loved to travel so he muscled up and it was the first of many trips together.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

His continuous love for everyone, his motivation and drive to be the best version of himself possible, and always trying to put a smile on my face especially on the hard days

Who proposed and how?

Ryan proposed 🙂 we had a pre planned trip with his brother, wife, and pups. We ended up going to a beach we previously went to when visiting Mendocino and as we walked to the beach being fooled we were doing Christmas cards with the pups there was a beautiful picnic set up and my sister and our close friends were there waiting or us and he dropped on one knee once I figured out what was happening.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I stumbled across Made with Love when looking at dresses. I fell in love with Archie and I did research to see which boutiques in the area carried MWL. I went to Flares Bridal during a trunk show. I actually ended up trying on the Tommy Crepe first and then tried Archie last. After every dress I kept thinking of Tommy and when I tried it on the second time and the veil was put on me I knew it was the one and happy tears were all over everyone’s faces!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Our first look! I was super anxious all day and had all the emotions. The second I saw Ryan I was calm and so happy that we were finally getting married. It was a special moment just between us before the ceremony started that we both needed.

What were your favorite details?

The details of the dress still blow me away every time! Also it was one of the most comfortable dresses. I was trying on the dress almost every week before the wedding because I was just in such awe of its beauty.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Stay with your partner the whole day if you can. You are able to really enjoy the day together and talk about the best moments in the day. It was perfect.
