How did you meet?

Like most modern-day love stories – online (Instagram).

When did you know they were the one?

I was in university at the time and bet my roommate $1000 that he and I would get married one day before we even met. We spent the first 2 or so weeks texting and FaceTiming until I went back home for the weekend and he planned a date for us. The date, as it turned out, was 5 dates in one and we spent 12 hours together. On my drive home, he called me to let me know that he didn’t want to see anyone else. Seems quick to some, but we both just knew.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

His kindness, his humor, and his smile.

Who proposed and how?

He proposed to me in October of 2021 while we were hiking through Algonquin Park in Ontario, Canada. He tried a few different times throughout the 11km journey, but there was always a crowd or some reason that got his nerves spiked again. When we finally made it to the very top, we sat down for some water and snacks and once I turned back from the view to him, he had the ring out.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I fell in love with Huxley Fitted at The Modern Bride in Guelph, Ontario. I absolutely adore the detailing and the SIDES!! I hadn’t seen any dress like it, and it really was one of those “when you know, you know” moments, much like it was with everything in our relationship.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Honestly, the whole day was absolutely perfect, but when I think back to the moments that make me happiest it’s seeing how happy my now husband was.

What were your favorite details?

I really wanted a “French Garden Party” feel to the day, so our first look location, our floral arrangements, and the colors of the bridesmaid dresses were some of my absolute favourite details that helped achieve my vibe.
