Tyneal + Trent

How did you meet?

We met at University after relocating from our home towns to Brisbane. I moved from Mackay and Trent from Kingaroy, so we were both a long way from home. We lived on the same campus a floor apart. Our paths first crossed in July 2010 and we started dating in 2012. The rest is history!

How did you know they were the one?

When everything just felt easy!
We moved in together in 2014 before moving to Hervey Bay in 2015. We started on a brand new chapter together as we had both secured jobs after graduating. It was such a scary but exciting time as we absolutely no one at first, but we built our relationship into a secure, happy and fun friendship where we could both just be ourselves.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

He is the most generous, kindhearted, and funny person I have ever met.

Who proposed and how?

Trent proposed to me on New Years Eve of 2019 right on the stroke of midnight when we were on a boat cruise in Budapest!
He actually had planned to propose on 2 prior attempts. Firstly, he had planned to propose at the top of the Swiss Alps, but once we got up there it was snowing so hard that we could barely see each other.
Plan B was to propose on a gondola ride in Venice, but he forgot to bring the ring with him!
But third and final attempt, it all happened in Budapest – and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. It was perfect!

What was the best moment for you at the wedding?

Walking down the aisle to see my husband-to-be looking at me with the most loving loving stare.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

Once we were engaged, I started looking on Instagram and other platforms for wedding dresses and fell in love with the ‘Made with Love’ style.
I then drove 6hrs to the nearest stockiest in Gladstone to try on some of the dresses. When I arrived, I saw that ‘Tommy’ was on a manikin and asked to try it on.
As soon as I did, I knew it was THE DRESS.
I ordered it and drove back down to Gladstone 6 months later to pick it up.
I put it back on and it fit like a glove. I didn’t have to make ANY alterations at all. I wore it just as it was and it was nothing short of amazing! I felt beautiful.

What were your favourite details?

To be honest, once I woke up on my wedding day, all the little details didn’t seem to matter at all. I was just so excited to finally marry my best friend (after having to post pone in 2020 due to COVID).
But if I was going to choose, my favourite details were our decorations and centre pieces. They were simple but elegent and complimented our Airlie Beach wedding so beautifully.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Relax! Try and take in every moment because it goes super quick, so don’t worry about the small stuff. None of that is going to matter once you see your husband-to-be waiting down the aisle.
I had the best day of my life – just laughs, a couple of tears and lots of celebration and dancing. So let your hair down and celebrate – after all, it is your big day!
