Toni + Michael

How did you meet?

I met Michael when I was 13 years old. He was my cousin’s best friend and I instantly fell in lust with him!
But it wasn’t until 20 odd years later that we would get together!

When did you know they were the one?

The minute I started spending time with Michael I knew we were meant to be. We were so different, yet exactly the same.
We complimented each other beautifully and made each other a better version of ourselves. It made the wait for the ring a hard one! haha

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

His amazing encouragement, his loyalty, and his unwavering love.

Who proposed and how?

Michael proposed to me on a hilltop hike in Arrowtown, NZ. We had done this hike many times, so it was a favourite, special place for both of us.
I was reaching for lollies as we had reached the top, and when I looked back he was pulling a ring out of his pocket and dropping to one knee! It was so special as there was not another soul in sight!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

Since the start of my wedding journey I had been in love with Made with Love dresses. I knew one of them was going to be perfect for me. I went into Felicity’s bridal with Harry in mind.. but Harry did not work for me. It was a little too plain from the front. So I tried a few more and loved Scottie V2. I was going back to try Scottie V2 on again to make sure it was the one and right before my appointment I happened to see a picture of Harlow V2 online. So I went back and tried Scottie and was still unsure. I then asked to try Harlow… and wow, I knew it was the one right away!! The magnificent train was to die for! I had wanted wow, and this was it! I felt so stunning in this dress!!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

The best moment was walking down the aisle with my son and seeing my husband to be standing there waiting for me!
There is nothing like that feeling, I can’t even explain it. I felt so calm and peaceful in that moment.
