Toni + Brendan

How did you meet?

Through my maid of honour at the Wellington Heineken Urban Polo back in February 2017 – the rest is history.

When did you know they were the one?

When Brendan cooked, cleaned and looked after me when I was working full time and completing my Chartered Accountancy papers. He knew and understood how important this was to me and put me and my studies first throughout this period! She was a tough stint!

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Kind, caring, loving, and loyal! Brendan has such a beautiful nature about him that I cannot fault.

Who proposed and how?

Brendan proposed on Queenstown waterfront after a family dinner the night before I was running a 10km run. It was perfect except for the fact I couldn’t pop bottles of champagne immediately as I had to get up the next morning and run!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I had seen and fallen in love with the Harlow dress on social media years before I got married. I loved the lace detailing and the fit was absolutely stunning not to mention the gorgeous train. We my day finally came I knew this was a definite option and when I tried it on I was truly in love. Our overall wedding theme was an elegant Italian wedding so it fitted perfectly!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Our first look – it was so special Brendan seeing me for the first time especially since he had no idea what I was going to look like! Brendan is usually my go-to for advice around outfits but this time he knew nothing which was exciting. Brendan’s face when he first saw me was a moment I’ll never forget. In his words “he was speechless”.
