Tiana + Andrew

How did you meet?

It’s a funny story, but to sum it up we met on a blind date courtesy of my younger sister and his mom.

When did you know they were the one?

After our second date. There was just something about him that was so intriguing and I found myself wanting more. I knew in my heart that I found my person. We just clicked and it was so effortless!

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Compassionate
Dependable
Funny

Who proposed and how?

He did! We had just purchased our first home together, and he suggested we stop in for a glass of wine before we went to dinner that night. He had patio furniture set up on our back deck with flowers and some candles. Then the moment came, he brought out a wine flight board and written on the chalk board was “Will you marry me?” It was so romantic

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

The Modern Bride in Guelph, ON.
My mom, mother-in-law, sister and I drove 8 hours in search of a wedding dress. Believe it or not it was the first dress I tried on and nothing lived up to it. With each passing dress I tried on, I always had this dress in the back of my mind. I loved the crepe bottom. The dress made me feel sexy and sophisticated. Timeless!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Walking down the aisle and seeing his reaction for the first time. I envisioned that moment for quite some time and to actually live it through, felt so surreal. I will remember it forever.

What were your favourite details?

1. Our wedding venue just so happened to be were we went on our first date for ice-cream. Last minute, our photographer remembered this detail and had set up an area outside with ice-cream to recreate our first date. Having that moment captured was truly special and brought it full circle.

2. Prior to our ceremony we set aside 15 minutes to read our personal love letters to each other without seeing one another. It was a special moment where we were able to calm our nerves, hold hands and be present with each other before our ceremony

What advice would you tell other brides?

Don’t sweat the small things. It sounds cliché but it’s true. No one really notices the minor mishaps but you. Be kind to yourself and enjoy the process. Remember it’s ONE day!
