Tess + Adam

How did you meet?

Adam and I were introduced after his hometown best friend landed a date on hinge with my hometown best friend. We went on our first date in the fall of 2020 and have been together almost every day sense. Our best friends that went on the hinge date also got married this summer!

When did you know they were the one?

I was hooked on Adam the night we met. From
There, after thousands of little moments of tenderness , laughter, and kindness I knew I was going to marry him. With Adam I have always and for the guest time been truly seen.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Adam is generous with his acts of service. His capacity for patience and understanding is always astounding. And he is the most truly loyal and trustworthy person I’ve ever known.

Who proposed and how?

Adam proposed on our one year anniversary in Wilmington North Carolina. It was a Thursday with beautiful weather and the most gorgeous orange and pink sunset you’ve ever seen! We walked down the beach, and right past the jetty I turned around to him on one knee asking me for forever!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

Coastal Knot in Raleigh North Carolina. I had seen the Andy Design online and thought it was one of the unique designs. Costal Knot was the only place around that carried the dress and I knew I had to try it before I made my decision. I put it on and was immediately hooked.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

The best moment for me was walking back down the aisle after just officially matting best friend, and being his wife and his partner for life. It felt so right.

What were your favourite details?

My amazing florist, Once Gathered, pulled off such a fun concept. The ceremony was very formal and white with a beautiful deconstructed arch and the reception was bursting with pinks and reds and beauty everywhere! I also love that we started dating, got engaged, and were married on the same day. October 21 of 2020, 2021, and 2023, respectively.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Enjoy the small moments and let the little stuff go. Nothing will ever be 100% as planned but your day can still be perfect. Enjoy every second of it!
