How did you meet?

At university 5 years ago.

When did you know they were the one?

After the 3rd date when he told me that he loved my aneurisms but meant my mannerisms.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

His calm demeanor, his ability to always support me whatever that looks like, his gentle heart.

Who proposed and how?

He proposed to me at our favourite little town, Fort Langley where we often visit for coffee, walks with our dogs, and dates at our go to restaurants. He proposed with our golden retriever Olly who I had 2 years before meeting Dom, they quickly fell in-love with each other too.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

Everly Bridal in Vancouver. I have always loved Made with Love and knew that I needed to try on all the gowns. Funny enough, Archie was the one I sent to my mom even before I was engaged saying how stunning it was. The second I put it on, I knew it was perfect for me and there was no dress that matched up to it after that. There was no doubt ever that it was my dress.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Taking that next step as husband as wife, declaring our love and passion for one another for a lifetime in front of all of those most important people in our life. Oh, and of course food, drinks and dancing!

What were your favourite details?

Hands down being the first wedding at a stunning new venue. We wanted that indoor outdoor feel and could not have asked for a more perfect space for our special day. Also the florals were absolutely gorgeous and exactly what I hoped for them to be!

What advice would you tell other brides?

To let the small things fall off your back. The day will be perfect no matter what it looks like. No one is going to know the difference so instead of stressing about stuff that can’t be changed, embrace and enjoy all the little moments you will remember for the rest of your life.

Any standout vendors?

All of our vendors absolutely nailed it. Catering made a completely allergy friendly meal which was huge for us. Photography and videography for capturing every moment for us to hold onto for the rest of time. My cousins for creating the girls stunning hair. Makeup for nailing the perfect natural glam. Venue, florals, dj, wedding coordinators, exceptional job!
