How did you meet?

My future husband and I first met when we were elementary school but it was only until we reconnected while attending University together that our story really began. What started off as us becoming close friends slowly turned into something so much than either of us expected. 9 years later we finally got to say I do.

When did you know they were the one?

I knew he was the one when I realised that he loved me for me. He wanted to bring joy to my life, to make me smile. I knew he was the one when I could completely surrender and be myself with him.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

He is secretely the funniest human being you will ever meet. He is kind and thoughtful. He makes me feel secure.

Who proposed and how?

My husband and I were together for 8 years before he proposed. Spending our lives with each other was something we had always wanted but my husband always felt he needed to be able to take care of us before really taking the next step. Then one unsuspecting evening in January 2022, after I had spent the entire day running errands and was exhausted beyond words. I opened our apartment door with hallway lines with candles and balloons and my heart instantly froze. I bent the corner to him down on one knee in our first home together. My body instantly began shaking as the shock took over and I realised this wasn’t a dream. The rest is history.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I fell in love with the my MWL dress at Lovely Bride in Miami. It was the second dress that I had tried on and instantly felt like bride. I could dance, I could move and I instantly pictured saying yes in this dress.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

It’s hard to chose just one moment but my husband’s speech was the most incredible moment. He’s very shy so to have him overcome that fear and describe the love he had for me infront of our friends and family, I would never be able to forget that moment.

What were your favourite details?

My favorite details about my dress was the lock back and pockets. EVERY dress should have pockets.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Being a professional wedding planner, it was the most unique experience planning my very own wedding. Stepping into my clients shoes, I would say the biggest piece of advice I have is to let go and trust. Trust that the people you have chosen to help with your day will do everything in their power to make it magical. And let go of all expectations you had and be present. The day goes by so fast and if you don’t soak it all in you will forget the reason for it all.
