Taylor + Kyle

How did you meet?

He coached my little brother in little league football, I was the “big sister” on the sidelines rooting for my little brother, not knowing I was secretly rooting for my future husband as well. He introduced himself to my family on the sidelines, and from there it was history! I remember my sweet mom pulling me aside after that moment and said “you need to ask coach Kyle on a date!” So, I did!

When did you know they were the one?

I knew the minute I met him, the way that he cared for an coached my little brother, the way my brother looked up to him as one of his role models, the way he treated and cared for others, is what made me fall more and more in love with him every time that I was around him. His smile and love was infectious!

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

His love for family, his way of putting others before himself, and his grace.

Who proposed and how?

He surprised me with the most beautiful proposal at our spot.
We were on our way up to my parents house for a fathers day brunch, I was in sandals, and, not knowingly wearing all white. Hair curled, earrings, in, makeup on, no sunscreen. Our puppy at the time was in the back of the car, and my fiancé looked over to me and said “Mack needs to go for a quick hike to get his energy out”. I agreed, and he pulled over to our spot. The spot we go to every Fourth of July to watch the fireworks, and the spot where he had first asked me to be his girlfriend. This same spot overlooks the entire town that we both grew up in. He got down on one knee, alongside our puppy Mack, and asked me to be his wife. The word “yes” poured out of me faster than they ever have before.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I fell in love with Jack at Love and Lace Bridal salon. I had the intentions of trying on my dream dress which was Tommy by Made With Love, I had my eyes on Tommy for over 2 years seeing her on instagram. Love and Lace had one Tommy dress left before it was discontinued. I walked in and laid eyes on Jack, and my mind immediately changed. Jack was the first dress I tried on, and Tommy was the second. I spent over an hour deciding between the two, and finally my heart was more than in love with Jack! They had placed the matching Jack veil on my head and my mom and aunt who were with me began to cry tears of joy!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

The best moment for my husband and I at our wedding was seeing all of our guests come together as one, and have the time of their lives.

What were your favourite details?

My favorite details were our flowers. Our flower vendor did such a fantastic job with decorating even the smallest details everywhere at both our reception and ceremony. I had a vision for whites and greens, as it paired well with the gold Champagne colors that were also scattered throughout our reception and ceremony.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Take mental pictures with your spouse throughout the day. Take several pauses with one another to stop, look around, and take it all in, because the day flies by as much as you don’t want it to!

Any standout vendors?

If your in the Souther California area, Blooms of Santa Barbara did a gorgeous job with our flowers. Sandy really mastered our overall vision with our color scheme, what we wanted, and even filled in the little details that we didn’t even think of. Sloan and Co Media, our videographer, also did an exceptional job. Brad was on top of it throughout the day reminding us of our timeline and getting the perfect video shots!
