Taylor + Adam

How did you meet?

Adam and I met on Cinco De Mayo 4 years ago at a local Dallas bar called Katy Trail Ice House. He was new to Dallas, but after a couple margaritas he came over to say hi. The rest is history.

When did you know they were the one?

His love of the Lord sealed the deal, but his love of the outdoors, family/friends, and spending time on the lake were some of the many cherries on top.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Love of the Lord
Extremely hard working
Love of adventure

Who proposed and how?

Thanksgiving 2021 – All of my family had come in town for the holiday. While taking family photos at our lake house, he popped the question at the top of the dock. Celebrations followed with all of our friends gathered at a nearby lake house.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I have never known or dreamed of what my dress was going to look like. I was never the bride that followed designers or stayed up to date on the newest trends.
When the time came, I actually went to Pinterest to start to get an idea of what I loved. The Archie by Made With Love was the first pin that I saved. I didn’t know the brand or style, but that dress photo was the one I referenced at every bridal shop. I quickly came to find out my first bridal shop had the exact dress in stock and the rest was history.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

There were so many moments, but one that sticks out the most was the moment after the minister pronounced us husband and wife. In that moment, there’s a rush of excitement and tears. There’s the moment of kissing your husband for the first time and turning around to an entire audience of your closest family and friends all cheering and supporting you.
I’m not sure there will ever be another moment like it.

What were your favourite details?

Dress and flowers. The rest really didn’t matter to me.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Keep it simple. The day goes by so fast. Don’t get caught up in the small details or you will lose out on enjoying the moments as a whole.

Any standout vendors?

By far Gallison Hall Estate in Charlottesville, VA did the most amazing job. Their attention to detail was immaculate. The estate grounds were absolutely stunning. The entire day wouldn’t have been the same without them.
