How did you meet?

We were school sweethearts who grew up minutes away from each other our whole lives!

When did you know they were the one?

No exact moment – but when we were still teenagers…just that unexplainable feeling you have when you know they’re your person.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Caring, funny, hard-working.

Who proposed and how?

Cam did! It was our first night in our new apartment after we had just moved in together. He had a box of all the notes, pictures, and mementos I had given him or sent him for the past 8 years throughout high school and our long-distance years in college. Everything was spread out on the coffee table, about the only piece of furniture we had at the time. There he was down on one knee, saying some sweet words, and looking as nervous as ever.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

Lovely Bride in Rochester, NY. The boutique was beautiful and carried tons of MWL dresses – all my top picks were from the MWL brand but ultimately the Arlo dress had the perfect amount of detail and sexiness with still looked effortless and romantic. It was ME.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Dancing to our last song with all our friends and family, with everyone standing in a circle with their arms around each other. Pure happiness as we all smiled and sang to each other!

What were your favorite details?

I wasn’t so much a detailed-oriented bride…my main focus was that all our guests were having a good time! From a plethora of food to a fruity bubbly bar as each guest walks in, I enjoyed seeing everyone enjoy themselves. One of my favorite things was sitting at a big head table with my husband and all our closest friends and family – that was a must!

What advice would you tell other brides?

As everyone says – don’t sweat the small stuff! It’s your day and it will be beautiful regardless. It all happens extremely fast, so soak it all in and don’t forget to just be present with your partner and remember why everyone is there celebrating you two – because of all the love you share together!
