Stephanie + Michael

How did you meet?

We meet on Hinge, where his opening line was, “What do you call two birds in love? My response was, “You must be a pun man!” He followed up with, “The answer is Tweet-hearts!”

When did you know they were the one?

Our very first date. He was running a little late, and I’m a stickler for being on time (which he didn’t know yet) and he called me to let me know what time he’d be there. Later on I found out he got there an hour early he just couldn’t find a park!

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Genuine, kind and a wiz in the kitchen!

Who proposed and how?

He proposed Christmas Eve morning at our home in Newcastle. He told me he always felt at home with me so wanted to ask me to be his wife in the beautiful home we created!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

In the St Ives studio. The whole experience was absolutely divine. As soon as I put my dress on I felt like a bride, and my Mum & sister-in-law felt the same.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Walking down the aisle with my Cappy (Dad). The emotions and feelings I felt were both overwhelming and reassuring. It felt right and I couldn’t take my eyes off my handsome man.

What were your favourite details?

I love colour so seeing the beautiful flower arrangements and styling I had envisioned come together was everything I had hoped for!

What advice would you tell other brides?

Don’t get off the dance floor!!

Any standout vendors?

Fika Floristry and our amazing celebrant / wedding coordinator Georgia Fletcher.
