How did you meet?

It all started with a swipe to the right. We met on Bumble. We messaged each other for a couple of weeks before meeting in person.

When we finally decided to meet up, we went to a wine bar after work on a Monday. Our first date turned into 4 hours! The conversation was so natural. We sat on the patio of the wine bar telling each other all about ourselves – our careers, hobbies, what we liked to do on the weekends, etc.

We discovered that we both took our careers seriously and had aspirations to continue to grow within our jobs. We learned that we both enjoy being active outside of work – working out, hiking, paddle boarding, and anything that involves being outdoors. We also learned that we both love to travel and enjoy trying new restaurants around the city.

I remember smiling a lot on our first date. I left the wine bar feeling so refreshed and energized after meeting him 🙂

When did you know they were the one?

Although it didn’t hit me then, I think I knew, deep down, leaving the first date that we would be together from that moment forward.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

The qualities that I admire most about John are:

His joyful heart & attitude – He has filled our relationship with lots of fun adventures
His loyalty – John has always approached our relationship with so much respect, trust, and open communication
His sense of humor – I love that John doesn’t take himself too seriously and can always make me laugh.

Who proposed and how?

John proposed. He set up candles and flowers throughout the townhome. When I came home from work that evening, he was waiting for me on one knee (along with our dog, Winston.) I was completely caught off guard!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I knew I wanted a dress with a deep V in the back. I fell in love with the Harlow dress the moment I saw it on online. I immediately searched for a local MWL vendor and found the Bridal Parlour just 30 minutes away from St. Louis. I booked the next available appointment so I could try it on.

I LOVE all of the stunning embellishments on the dress, but I think my favorite detail is the back of the dress!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Dinner. John and I are both foodies. Our relationship has grown over many dinner dates out together. We also really enjoy dinner parties with friends and family.

Getting to sit down after our wedding ceremony with our loved ones and enjoy good conversation, food, and drinks was something very special to us!

We also LOVED the ambiance of our dinner setup.

What were your favourite details?

We were so pleased with our florals. They were absolutely stunning and far exceeded our expectations!

What advice would you tell other brides?

Your wedding day goes by so fast and it’s easy to let everything around you become a blur.

Keep yourself present and take moments of your day to look around. Look at the people who have come to support you, look at your new life partner. Take a million mental images to remember the details.
