Sierra + Theodore

How did you meet?

I met my husband while we both worked at the same Starbucks during college – after 6 months of being friends at work we finally went on a date! And we’ve been inseparable ever since.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

I love Theodore’s calm, easy going and fun demeanour. He brings light to everything!

When did you know they were the one?

I knew my husband (Theodore) was the one very early on. Theodore put me at ease in a way I had never felt before and he felt like home to me. He makes me laugh everyday and really is my best friend!

Who proposed and how?

Theodore propped at Smith Rock State Park in Bend, OR! We were on a weekend getaway just the two of us, and he got down on one knee in front of a gorgeous backdrop!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I fell in love the moment I saw it on Made With Love’s Instagram – seriously. I instantly sent it to all of my friends and said “this is the one!”. After dress shopping around Portland, I finally tried The Archie on and it totally solidified my first instincts. This was the dress that truly made me feel like a bride!

What was the best moment for you at the wedding?

My husband and I both agree the best part about our wedding was the ceremony. It was so special to share our vows with each other and even though all of our friends and family were there, it felt like we were the only ones in the room.

What were your favourite details?

My favourite details were our florals and signage! I love the details and our vendors truly killed it and made everything feel so romantic and timeless.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Wedding planning is so stressful! But trust that the big day will be so amazing no matter what – it really comes down to getting to marry your best friend and that fact alone will make it the most perfect day. We got married in Oregon, and normally we have to worry about rain for June weddings. We ended up having a heat wave and our outdoor wedding was 115 degrees out! Despite the crazy heat it was really the perfect day

Any standout vendors?

Our photographer was AMAZING. Alex is the kindest gal and she did such a good job of not only capturing the day but capturing all the love we felt! We look back on our photos and we can relive all the emotions.

Our signage was also FANTASTIC. HeyHalle spent so much time designing the invites and signage to really reflect Theodore and I as a couple.
