How did you meet?
We were work colleagues for 3 years before eventually meeting, after that we could never spend more than a few days apart.
When did you know they were the one?
He had this aura about him, his smile was infectious but also gave me butterflies. I knew from about 6 months in we could spend our lives together.
What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?
His passion and affection. He has a personality you just need to be around. It’s infectious. He is the sort of person people gravitate towards because they know he’ll always be there for them and he always is. He’s very loyal and very honest.
Who proposed and how?
He asked me to marry him in our favourite setting. We were both curled up on the couch. I had been very sick with glandular fever and he had been taking care of me.
Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?
I had always loved MWL dresses, but never thought I’d have the opportunity to try one on in person. When a local store said they were getting your label I could have cried. My dream dress (Lola) was one of the first to arrive and it arrived in my exactly size. When I put it on and it fit perfectly I was in love.
What was the best moment for you at the wedding?
I wasn’t nervous leading up to the wedding so was dreading the wedding day knowing the nerves would hit me all at once. As I was walking down the aisle they started to hit me, then I looked up and saw him and everything drained away. I was so calm and so at ease and had never felt more comfortable in my life. He was also balling his eyes out, so that ridiculously cute 🙂
What were your favourite details?
We were married at the crown towers in Sydney so the location was beautiful. Our florist was also amazing, and the fact that it was such a small wedding. There were 18 people in total.
What advice would you tell other brides?
The day goes by so quickly, don’t stress the small stuff, enjoy the amazing time with your family and friends.
Any standout vendors?
Our florist, my makeup artist and all of the staff at the Crown.
