How did you meet?

We met working as teachers at a small village primary school.

When did you know they were the one?

On our very first date. Paddy actually started planning his speech after our first date.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

His patience, thoughtfulness, and his ability to be so selfless

Who proposed and how?

Paddy proposed to me on a walk in a forest, which is right on our doorstep. He set up a camera to take a picture and got down on one knee, I had no idea! We went back home where all my family were waiting to celebrate with us.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

Ava Louise Bridal Wear in Southampton. I went in knowing I wanted a MWL dress but I wasn’t sure which one. Remi was in the window and we loved her, but as soon as I tried on Harlow I knew she was the one. I loved the sparkle, the lace, the train and the fact that wasn’t super low cut.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Marrying the love of my life! Paddy and I were in the middle of the dancefloor and spun around to see all of our favourite people around us, it was really special. My Grandma from Ireland made it over after not seeing her for over 5 years, which was incredibly important to me. We had the most incredible photographer to capture all of these moments too, Alisa Roberts Photography.

What were your favorite details?

I love that my mum and dad walked me down the aisle. My sister read a beautiful reading from Everything I Know About Love, which was so lovely. We had the most amazing cake by a local vegan baker, Tiny Sarah’s Cakes, it was a work of art and tasted delicious too

What advice would you tell other brides?

Soak up the day, book an early ceremony to make the most of it, keep it small (if you can) we had 60 people and it was so perfect. Try and be chill! Once you get to the big day, there isn’t much more you can do/ stress about so just try to enjoy.
