How did you meet?
My husband & I met shortly after University. I had just moved to a new part of California and did not know anyone. He was leading a technical training at my first job and we immediately hit it off.
When did you know they were the one?
I knew my now husband was the one when I quickly realized how caring and considerate he is. He always goes out of his way to make me feel special and loved.
What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?
He is my best friend, dependable and a good companion.
Who proposed and how?Â
My husband proposed in front of the Christmas Tree the night before we travelled to visit family for the holidays in December 2019. It was at home, peaceful and romantic. It was so fun because we got to celebrate with family and friends over the holiday.
Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?
I fell in love with how ethereal Carla is. I knew from the moment I tried her on that she was my dress.
What was the best moment for you at the wedding?
Finally being able to celebrate with everyone after having to postpone because of COVID. We wanted everyone to feel special and loved and know how important they are to us.
What were your favourite details?
We chose our venue because of how eclectic it is. I toured 32 venues prior to COVID and immediately fell in love with Carondelet House. We wanted the night to feel like and intimate, romantic dinner party and could not have dreamt of a better location. After booking the venue we found out several music videos and shows have shot there because of how unique of a space it is. Every detail is meticulously placed and it really is art.
What advice would you tell other brides?
Being engaged during COVID was difficult. I would tell brides to keep looking forward and know that regardless of what they decide to do their day will be special and love will persevere.
Any standout vendors?
Our Photographer @krista.ashley did an absolutely phenomenal job capturing the romance of the day. She is a true artist and I could not be happier with the photos.
