Ruby + Emilie

How did you meet?

Emily and I met through instagram, we had followed each other for a while before Emily slid into Ruby’s dms. After chatting for some time we met up for a drink, Ruby didn’t think it was a date. But Emily sure did…and the rest is history!

When did you know they were the one?

When travelling through India on a spontaneous trip, taking on new adventures and exploring together.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

We both love each others kindheartedness, resilience and can do attitude.

Who proposed and how?

Ruby proposed to Emily on a morning walk at their favourite spot by the river. Their dog came running around the corner with a bandana on saying “will you marry my mum?”

Emily then proposed back to Ruby a few months later on an amazing date day at a beautiful winery, where they walked alpacas and sipped on champagne.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

Ruby – I tried on a few dresses at MWL Robina, I thought I’d found the one…then the beautiful Rosey pulled out one more dress. The Pippa. I got into it and was stunned. I looked like a bride and I knew it was what I wanted to wear on our big day.

Emily – I tried on many dresses at other designers before Ruby convinced me to head over to MWL. The lovey ladies at MWL Robina had tucked away Ruby’s dress, so I wouldn’t come across it. When I put on The Winter, it was love at first sight. The length, the material and the sleeves! It was the one for me.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Gazing into each others eyes at the alter, getting matching tattoos and finally seeing each others dresses!

What were your favourite details?

How the florals complemented the scenery and set the tone for the day.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Don’t sweat the small stuff, not everything will run 100% as planned but guess what…only you will know that! Remember to be present and enjoy the ride because the day will be over before you know it.
