How did you meet?

Mitch and I are both from different states, I’m from NSW and he’s from QLD. Our best friends, one day decided to move across the world from Australia to UK. Little did we know this decision of theirs, would also change the course of our lives too. They crossed paths in the UK and became friends, and they all reunited in Australia after they moved back for a festival. We were their plus ones, and this was the beginning of us.

When did you know they were the one?

The moment we first hung out. As we were from other states, we spoke for 7 months before he made the move to fly down for a weekend to Sydney to see me. The chemistry and the instant comfort I felt with him, I know he was going to be a part of my life for a very long time.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

He’s so caring to those he loves, willing to do anything for them. He’s attentive and he’s got amazing arms haha

Who proposed and how?

Mitch did. After being separated for months by the borders due to covid. He hired a proposal company, ProposalCo, planned a weekend in the Hunter Valley. He booked the hot air balloons and the proposal company decorated the gazebo at the hotel, where he got down on one knee.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

Sydney, St Ives. It was always a dream to try on MWL dresses. Decisions are hard for me and I thought I always wanted a tight fitting dress. Tried on a selection of stunning dresses, including the Cameron which is breathtaking. But the moment I tried on the Huxley Flowly, I instantly knew. There were goosebumps, and tears. The details in the bodice were stunning and the skirt is to die for. There and then, I said yes to the dress.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

It was definitely marrying the love the of my life. But if I had to choose any other moment, it was when I took a moment to just take everything in and it was seeing the happiness in everyone’s faces, just celebrating us, celebrating love.

What were your favourite details?

The dress. It was just stunning and the way the skirt would flow when you walk, run or twirl. It made such a statement. It felt so dreamy and made me feel so so beautiful.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Breathe, things happen that you can’t plan for no matter how much you try, don’t stress about it. Your wedding day will be the most magical day and those things won’t matter. Concentrate on marry your person, and the beauty of it all. Take a moment to take it in, and just enjoy everyone that you love came, are all in one room to celebrate your love.

Any standout vendors?

Every vendor for my wedding day was outstanding!
My stylist (Bling Events) helped find me a replacement photographer (Mo Photography Studio) and videographer (Pixel Media AU) after my original one disappeared and we realised 3 weeks out from the wedding. And maybe that was a blessing in disguise, as the they were incredible and they produced the most stunning product.
