Rhianna + Nathan

How did you meet?

We officially met at our local stomping ground but we also lived across the road from one another for 10+ years prior to this encounter.

Nathan saw me doing some epic dance moves at the club and came over an introduced himself as my neighbour, we started a great friendship and then eventually started dating

When did you know they were the one?

When I couldn’t imagine my life without him.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

– Sense of humor (ability to be goofy at all times)
– Caring
– Smart

Who proposed and how?

He proposed!

It was our 10 year anniversary, we had just come out of lockdown and he whisked me off for a surprise weekend away in the city.
When he didn’t pop the question at dinner, I thought it wasn’t going to happen but then the next day he organised a romantic picnic at Fitzroy Gardens and had my sister there waiting behind a tree to capture it all. Dream come true.

We also decided to have our first look under the same tree that Nathan proposed under.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I have had Archie saved on my Pinterest board forever, well before I was engaged!

The dress is simple yet elegant, with the back of the dress being the main feature!

I only tried on one other dress before Archie, and Archie was a clear favourite. It was fitted in all the right places, whilst still allowing plenty of movement for getting low on the dancefloor

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Saying ‘I do’ surrounded by my closest friends and family.

Looking around the room at the altar and seeing everyone I love smiling and crying and just genuinely being happy for us.

What were your favorite details?

We made little coasters with our puppy Alfies face on them ‘ Drinks on me’ as he couldn’t attend the big day!

What advice would you tell other brides?

Not to stress, it will all come together and not everything will be perfect but you are marrying your person and that’s the most important thing in the world.

Also shit happens. You can’t control everything, it’s a lot easier to laugh at things going wrong than to stress about them. Plus your photos pick up on those emotions so try and stay calm and happy, this will rub off on the rest of your bridal party as well and everyone will have an amazing time.

Any standout vendors?

My florist absolutely killed it! They nailed the brief, autumn vibes for days!
