Rae + Justin

How did you meet?

Justin and I have known each other since we were 11 years old. We went to secondary school together.

When did you know they were the one?

I knew Justin was the one since year 7 maths class (this was in both of our vowels without either one of us knowing!)
We always had a special pull towards each other and reconnected when we were both 18.

Who proposed and how?

Justin proposed to me in Portugal in 2019. We were in a restaurant with my family. He stood up and said he would like to make a toast. He then got down on one knee and proposed. I had no idea! It was an absolutely amazing holiday celebration.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I fell in love with my dress at Made with Love in London. I KNEW it would be THE dress before even seeing it in person! It was elegant, classy, and timeless but still had a sexy edge to it!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

The best moment at our wedding was walking down the aisle overlooking the sea, seeing all our friends and family and the amazing view. Seeing Justin stand there for the first time was without a doubt the best part. It was like ‘I can’t believe this is finally happening!!!!’
Celebrating with everybody after, listening to the sax player & dancing with my new husband and my dad was perfect.
We wish we could do it all again.

What were your favorite details?

The letters we wrote to our loved ones. We had them read them in front of the videographer which is a beautiful memory to treasure.
The white, simple decor with our flowers. The venue in Paphos was beautiful so we didn’t need too much.
The fireworks. We kept this a surprise and our guests loved the display.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Enjoy every minute. Don’t stress about the details it will all turn out better than you imagined. Have a videographer so you can watch it all back. Everybody said ‘take it all in’ but it’s so hard. I can’t wait to watch out video.
