Rachelle + Dylan

How did you meet?

We met at a bar, we were both out with friends to see a band play and happened to have mutual friends who ended up introducing us! (Who said you can’t find love in a bar?!)

When did you know they were the one?

In 2020 after two years of long distance, I moved to the remote town he was working in. It was basically just the two of us spending every single day together through the pandemic, and I never got tired of seeing his face. Being together felt like home and I knew this was it for me!

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

His sense of humor, trustworthiness, and his values.

Who proposed and how?

He surprised me one morning and told me to pack a bag for the weekend, I had no idea where we were going. We ended up going back to the city we met and hitting up all our favourite spots. He proposed in front of my old apartment, it was the sweetest!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I first saw Lola on Pinterest and knew I had to try it on. My mom, sister and I drove 3 hours to the nearest boutique that carried Made With Love and Lola was the first dress I tried on and nothing else ever compared to it. The old school glamour was it for me!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

We didn’t do a first look, so walking down the aisle and seeing my fiancé against the backdrop of our favourite city, surrounded by our favourite people was so special.

What were your favourite details?

I wore my grandmother’s wedding band, she was such a special person to me and it was so important to have a piece of her with me.
We also had drawing done of our dog Dolly, she has a bit too much energy to have been a part of our wedding but we loved showcasing her at the wedding!

What advice would you tell other brides?

Try not to worry about the small details, those aren’t the things people will remember. Your guests will remember the way the day made them feel.
Also try to carve out a few minutes to spend alone with your new husband at some point during the day, it goes by so fast and it’s really special to have a few minutes alone!

Any standout vendors?

Our photographer KVD Photography (Kaylyn) was so incredible from the moment we contacted her. She has such a gift and we are beyond thrilled with our photos, we will cherish them forever.
We also had an amazing videography team, Paper Heart Films who captured our day so beautifully!
Kreativ Beauty did the hair and makeup for my wedding party and I could not have been more thrilled with their team!
