How did you meet?

My now husband, Sandy, and I met at a golf-themed pub crawl back in 2016. He immediately caught my attention when he karaoke-d to “The Monster Mash” in the middle of June.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

Once we started wedding planning, I found my dress at A&Be Bridal in Seattle. I knew that I wanted something romantic with lace, but that would also be comfortable to move around in because I knew I would be dancing A LOT. I fell in love with the Made with Love Riley gown because it gave me the romantic look that I wanted, but it also had such a beautiful and unique design that it gave me that extra “IT” factor.

Who proposed and how?

Two years after we met, in July 2018, he gave me the best proposal ever. My mom happened to be in town and she had no idea what was going to happen. Sandy had a friend pick up my mom and myself from our house and drive us to a secret location. I was then dropped off at a beautiful park with views of the Seattle cityscape where he proposed. He then took me to another bar where he was throwing he a “surprise birthday party” with all of my friends and my mom in attendance, except it was a surprise within a surprise, because everyone thought it was a surprise birthday party for me. Instead, it turned into a surprise engagement party for everyone. It was the best day ever.

We had our wedding at a private estate in Napa, CA, with sweeping views of beautiful vineyards. We wanted our wedding to be unapologetically “us”, so it included comic-book themed tables, a bounce house, a fantasy football scavenger hunt, and tons of wine, cocktails, music, and laughs and smiles all around.
