Paige + Dan

How did you meet?

We met by chance at a bar in Madison, Wisconsin while Dan was traveling around the states with a friend. Dan is a New Zealander & I am American. We ended up dancing all night and fell in love fast! After only a few months of dating, Dan asked me if I wanted to come back to New Zealand with him (that’s where he is from) and I couldn’t pass up the adventure!

When did you know they were the one?

I knew he was the one pretty quickly. He was the first man I felt I could be my true self around. He helped me find my self-confidence and sense of adventure.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

He is patient, kind, and nerdy 🙂

Who proposed and how?

Dan proposed after 7 years of being together. We had moved to NYC from Auckland at the end of 2019 so we lived through 2020 in a small loft apartment in Brooklyn with our puppy Archie. If you can get through a pandemic in a loft apartment you can get through anything!

I came home from a rainy day brunch with the girls to our entire apartment filled with candles and our song (Beyond by Leon Bridges) playing. He got down on one knee and proposed with a custom ring made from family stones and a new stone in the center!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I went to Lovely Bride in Tribeca NYC and fell in love with The Archie immediately! I wanted a low back & timeless look. Also, our pup is named Archie so it was truly meant to be!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

My favorite moment besides the ceremony was our first look. I worked so hard to get in shape for the wedding and was so excited for him to finally see me all glammed up in my dress 🙂
