Paige + Ben

How did you meet?

We met at a restaurant that we both started working at in the summer of 2013. Ben just finished college and I was home from my first year at university. He started 2 days after me and we were introduced by the manager. The rest is history.

When did you know they were the one?

It genuinely was love at first sight. I’d never felt it before and I remember the moment I first saw him so vividly. It was mad.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

His fierce loyalty – to me, his friends and our families.
His positive attitude to everything. He always finds the good in things.
His dedication – he makes everything happen for us.

Who proposed and how?

Ben proposed at one of our favourite places in Cornwall. He told me he was going down for a few days for some client meetings and that I should go down too. I was cabin crew at the time and just landed from Seattle. I was extremely tired and a little grouchy to be perfectly honest! He wanted to propose at sunset on the beach. I wouldn’t get out of bed in time for the sunset so in the end, he had to do it in the hotel room! Nevertheless it was absolutely perfect. Just us, and he even managed to record it without me realising. We then went for a bottle of champagne and spent a few days at the coast together.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I tried on a LOT of MWL dresses at the London Boutique and loved them all. I wanted something fairly simple, timeless and beautiful. I didn’t try on any that felt like ‘the one’, which is just a testament to how amazing all of MWL’s dresses are. I narrowed it down to the Tommy Crepe, the Harper and the Rosey Crepe, and I let my best friend decide which one I should go for. The dress I went for was the very last one I tried on, and as it happened to be called the Rosey – which is my middle name – it felt like a sign!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

I couldn’t pick just one!

Ben and I drove back to the venue from the Abbey on our own, and on the way we pulled over for 10 minutes just to sit and take in the fact that we were now married! It was a beautiful day, we were on cloud 9, and we knew that all our favourite people in the world were waiting for us back at the venue so we were also just SoO excited.

Both my dad and my step-dad walked me down the aisle which was really important for me, and was so special.

What were your favourite details?

The food was unreal and so many people commented on amazing it was.

The flowers were also an important part of the day for me and I was so happy with them. My bridal party and I just had bouquets of white roses and they were elegant, minimalist and beautiful which was exactly the look I was going for.

What advice would you tell other brides?

You hear it a lot but only because its true… don’t sweat the small stuff too much – the day will be perfect, even if a few little things don’t happen to go to plan. No one even notices those little things apart from you! And at the end of the day, marrying your soul mate is the most important thing, and that for sure, will go to plan on the day.

Take ten minutes for you two, just to breathe and take it in. Ben and I did this a couple of times and I’m so glad we did. The day will go so fast, so be sure to just take time to soak it all in.

Have your day exactly how you and your partner want it. Its your day!

Any standout vendors?

Our DJ Paolo was unreal. We decided to go for a DJ instead of a band as we wanted something a little different and wanted to play some of our favourite tunes! Paolo was SO good. So fun, so talented and happily stayed longer than planned just because we weren’t ready to finish yet. If there are any brides out there getting married in Tuscany, I highly recommend Paolo from Audiodress.
