Olivia + Ryan

How did you meet?

Funny enough we matched on Tinder in April of 2015 but didn’t officially meet until July 2015, when our friends introduced us to each other and 7+ years later, here we are!

When did you know they were the one?

I knew he was the one when we traveled to Europe and created the most magical memories together. We went on countless adventures throughout Germany and were wildly spontaneous for the majority of them. We laughed endlessly throughout the night in Italy. Got lost in Switzerland at 2am and spent Thanksgiving eating lots of pasta and drinking lots of wine. It made me realize to enjoy every moment in life but spend those moments with your person.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

He is the most outgoing, humorous, and genuine person I know. His heart is always in the right place and it makes me fall more in love with him each and every day.

Who proposed and how?

We had been dating since July 2015 and it was Ryan’s College Graduation Day from Georgia Southern University. All of our family and friends were in town for his graduation and graduation party that was later that night! He asked me in front of all our friends and family at his parents home and we spent the rest of the night celebrating our engagement and his graduation with everyone! My ring also has diamonds that were from his mom’s engagement ring!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

The first time I saw my dress was on Made With Loves Instagram page and I immediately knew it was going to be my dress, the moment I laid eyes on it. Since I work at Ivory & Beau in Savannah, Georgia, I already had a good idea on what I wanted because we try on a lot of dresses at the boutique and I mean a lot of dresses!! Once we officially got Ryder into the shop, I tried it on and immediately started bawling. It was the only dress I ever really tried on as a bride and knew it was truly my wedding dress.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

The best moment for us at our wedding was genuinely having every single important person in our lives there to celebrate us and witness our love. It was purely magical to have such an immense amount of love and support from those who have been there from the very beginning. If I had to pick my personal favorite moment, it would be walking down the aisle to marry the man of my dreams. Every nerve in my body went away, the moment I saw him at the end of the aisle and it was sincerely the most beautiful and euphoric feeling imaginable.

What were your favourite details?

– My mom hand painted lots of items for us!
– Our favors! Tybee Island was the first place we met and Savannah is our childhood home.
– Our “Nibbles” and “Bites” signs at the dessert table were hand painted by my mom.
– Veuve Clicquot Bottles x2
– My bridal shoes
– Our “Fun Fact” Napkins!
– All signage done by me!
– My dad and I choreographed our fun Father / Daughter Dance!
– Ryan and I’s first song was my grandparents’ love song.
– My dad gifted me with Tiffany & Co. earrings on the wedding day and my mom gifted me my first Wedding Ornament and “Keepsake” box for our wedding day momentos
– My Bridal Bouquet had pieces of my baby blanket wrapped around the Chiffon fabric with my Nana’s SixPence on there too.

What advice would you tell other brides?

My advice to other brides is to enjoy the process. Don’t let the stress of it all, diminish the excitement you should be feeling during this time. You are marrying your person and that is the ultimate gift.
