Nicole + Paul

How did you meet?

I met Paul at my local church at the end of 2019. I just got reconnect into a young adults community and he was one of the first people that I was introduced to.

When did you know they were the one?

As soon as I said yes to dating him I knew he was the one. The fact that we had a really strong friendship foundation made it that much easier to fall in love with him.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

I love how he can make me laugh even when I’m mad at him.

He puts time aside for anyone

He is so caring and considerate with the way he loves me.

Who proposed and how?

Paul proposed to me. Him and my parents sneakily organised a family trip to the hunter valley where he proposed to me and Bimbadgen Estate. After I said yes to forever with him, all our friends came running out from behind a hedge and that next to my wedding day was my most favourite day

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

My best moment was probably when the dance floor started, Paul and I snuck up to the gallery and watched below as everyone was enjoying their time while we enjoyed a cocktail. The only bit of alcohol we had time to enjoy the whole night

What were your favourite details?

Paul actually surprised me and sung for me at our reception. Weeks before the wedding he would say he was playing hockey with the boys for an hour every night but really he was practicing “all of me” by John legend

What advice would you tell other brides?

As a woman, being so great at organising and creating something beautiful. A wedding day can potentially be quite stressful. But my mum always told me that as soon as she walked down the isle herself, she tossed aside all thoughts of details of the day aside and enjoyed every moment of her wedding day. That’s exactly what I did and I advise to do the same. Xo
