How did you meet?

Matt and I met in college at Radford University in Virginia but it wasn’t until after college when sparks really flew 🙂

When did you know they were the one?

I may or may not have had a crush on Matt all through college. When we went out on our first date I was already smitten but I realized he was the one when both of us agreed that there was no pressure to rush into getting married. We are definitely more of a go with the flow type couple and we didn’t let outside pressures rush us into anything. It made it a really special time when we both knew we were ready to dive head first into marriage!

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner

his ability to help me slow down and enjoy the moment, to get me to break out of my stubborn ways, and his blue eyes

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

Lovely Bride DC. The obsession began when I saw it on Instagram and i knew I had to try it on. I tried on TONS of dresses before finally booking the appointment with Lovely Bride. They even shipped the tulle version of the dress down for me to try. It was love at first try on 🙂

Who proposed and how?

Matt and I were on vacation in Vail, Colorado and we decide it would be fun to spend a couple days in Moab, Utah. We’re from the east coast and wanted to explore as much as we could while we were out west. We jumped in the car, drove 4 hours to Moab and spent the afternoon hiking Arches National Park. We experienced some of the most breathtaking views we’ve ever seen! After ten miles of hiking and soaking up as much scenery as we could we were finally headed back to the car. As we made our way back, with the picturesque sun setting over the mountains, suddenly Matt slowed down and turned to face me. He got down on one knee and told me he wanted to spend the rest of our lives together and asked if I would marry him. I was absolutely speechless! “YES!” was all I could get out but thankfully that was just enough to seal the deal!
