How did you meet?

Five years ago, I decided to take a teaching job in a small country town in the wheat belt. It was a big change moving from the city but it wasn’t long until I was welcomed into the community and it felt like home. I moved in as the girl next door and we hit it off right away. We shared a love of cooking and a passion for teaching, also working together as teachers at the local High School.

When did you know they were the one?

Things moved pretty quickly in our relationship. I mean, when you know, you know! Not many couples could work together so closely like we do and live together, It just felt right. Dave is someone who appreciates me for who I am and is someone I can always rely on.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

He is dependable, caring and considerate.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I found everything I was after with the beautiful Harlie dress in bone. It was unique, timeless and most importantly comfortable. I knew it was the one the very instant I tried it on, it made me feel beautiful. None of my bridal party had seen my dress so it was a special moment when they saw me for the first time.

Who proposed and how?

David proposed to me in New Zealand. He had planned to do it at The Remarkables while we were snowboarding but a snow storm set in and he couldn’t coax me to the top of the mountain. After snowboarding with the ring in his pocket for 6 hours, he decided to re-think his plan. The next night, he popped the question at the Onsen Hot Pools where we enjoyed a romantic private Onsen overlooking the river.

Where did you go to Honeymoon?

We will be having a delayed honeymooning in Japan for our one year anniversary during the school Holidays. We love Japanese food and culture and can’t wait to do some snowboarding and skiing while we are there.
