Natalie + Sam

How did you meet?

Sam and I met online.

How did you know they were the one?

From the first date! I even told a friend the next day that I had just met the man I was going to marry.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

His kindness, the way he makes me laugh and his love and passion for a fun filled, active life! Plus, how much he loves and cares for our rescue dog Miso!

Who proposed and how?

He proposed by recreating our first date. We walked my dogs and then came back to my house and he proposed in the front garden, little did I know both our parents were watching from the balcony! It was perfect!

What was the best moment for you at the wedding?

Every single moment. Although, the moment when we became one family stood out for me as we stood under the Chuppah and Sam broke the glass.

When did you fall in love with your dress and why?

When I first tried Scottie on! She was the one I never thought I would even try, but I immediately fell in love when I put her on! Just the look on my bridesmaids faces, I could tell I had found my perfect dress. Scottie is so unique in the fabric and I absolutely loved that! The low back was my favourite feature after the embroidery!

What were your favourite details?

The flowers! Both our Mums are Hungarian and both our Dads are South African, so we had Hungarian tulips and South African Protea’s, mixed with Australian natives. Representing all countries that we have come from.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Enjoy every moment! The day goes by so fast, be present and mindful during the day and soak up every part of it.
