How did you meet?

My husband and I met while I was waitressing in between years of nursing school. His now sister in law convinced him to write me a note on the receipt (we had it framed at the wedding)! My friends thought he was the CUTEST guy so they convinced me to text him. We talked back and forth a few times but I never thought I would see him again. Weirdly enough, two days later we ran into each other at a concert and it was love ever since. Some might say it was meant to be…

When did you know they were the one?

I knew they were the one when Kyle was visiting me at college. When we met, I was only 20 and he was 26. We always have fun together, whether we are laying in bed watching football or out and about exploring the world. Each moment is special and unique. Somehow, he always knows how to make me smile and laugh. The moment I knew I was going to marry him we were singing in the car together, jamming out to whatever song was on the radio. What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

His love for his family and now mine!
How driven he is to succeed – it is very sexy
His heart, he always pretends to be tough but is very soft and emotional on the inside

Who proposed and how?

My husband proposed to me on a hike. He stole me away on a weekend trip to Breckenridge CO, where we had our first hiking date 2 years prior. He got us a beautiful town home right on main street for the weekend. We went on a hike and at the top he told me the 5 things he loved about me most and got down on one knee right near a beautiful lake. I of course said yes and we celebrated with drinks and cheeseburgers at our favorite spot.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I fell in love with my dress after seeing it online. I found A & Bé in Denver knowing they carried the gorgeous Tommy. I was told not to get my hopes up as most brides see the dress online and don’t feel the same in person. The minute I put it on, I teared up. It made me feel beautiful in every way. The unique lace and the way the dress is so classy but also sexy made me fall in love immediately.

What advice would you tell other brides?

DONT STRESS! My husband and I had a venue change, 3 date changes, a pandemic all while I am a nurse and our best friend, my mom pass away right before the wedding. This day should not be stressful. No matter how much it seems like it is….it is about you marrying the love of your life. Remember that and everything will turn out perfect.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

The best moment for me at our wedding was our vows. My mom just recently passed away from leukemia and Kyle and I decided to do personal vows. As he was reading his, he looked up at me and the sun broke through the clouds and shined right on him and only him. This was my mom. I will never forget that moment and will cherish it forever
