Morgan + Anthony

How did you meet?

My husband, Anthony, and I met in 2014 on our first day of Nursing School at Grand Valley State University. We had every class, clinical, and lab together and also lived across the street from one another. We became best friends! We both were in long term relationships when we met, but we both got broken up with during our first year of nursing school. We were there for one another during our breakups and continued our friendship until we started dating in 2016.

How did you know they were the one?

I knew Anthony was the one when I started getting jealous when he would go on dates with other girls while we were friends haha! We talked every day and supported one another through 2 and a half years of nursing school. When it came time for graduation and to apply for jobs and we both applied for jobs in the same city, it felt like God was aligning our paths.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Anthony is so incredibly patient, kind, and has the most gentle heart.

Who proposed and how?

Anthony proposed on a trip to Europe in September 2018! We had afternoon tea, drank champagne on Primrose Hill, and walked through Regent’s Park in London. Towards the end of the day Anthony pulled me into a clearing surrounded by trees and got down on one knee. It was the best day!

What was the best moment for you at the wedding?

The best moment at our wedding was our first look. It was such a special moment between the two of us. I felt such peace once I saw Anthony and we said our personal vows to one another.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I went to Ali Nicole in Grand Rapids, MI. I initially went to try on the “Stevie” dress, but once I saw Riley Luxe and tried it on, I immediately knew it was my dress! I had no hesitation when I walked out and said to my family “Okay, this is it!”.

What were your favourite details?

We originally were supposed to have an indoor wedding with 250 guests. Due to changed COVID restrictions, we had to find a new venue 3 weeks before our wedding and downsize to 50 guests. It was so stressful changing our plans with such short notice, but everything turned out beautifully!

My favorite detail was the greenhouse that we had dinner in. It was so beautifully styled and was the perfect setting for our intimate garden party style dinner!
