How did you meet?

Marc was doing an internship in Portland for 3 months. I was working at a shop and conveniently saw his friends’ German bank card and needed a native speaker to help me with a university project for my German class.

When did you know they were the one?

There wasn’t one moment in particular. We dated long distance for nearly 4 years and it’s as if we’d always known. We were 5,000 miles apart for the majority of our relationship but I felt more connected to him than anyone I’ve ever known. He finally moved to Portland 3 years ago and everything fell into place so naturally.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

He is incredibly kind, insanely smart, and always knows how to make me laugh.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I had already purchased a different Made With Love dress, but right after choosing it, The Carla dress was posted on Instagram and I fell in love with the cape! I purchased it without ever even trying it on.

Who proposed and how?

Marc proposed while we were vacationing with family at the Island Föhr off of Germany’s northern coast. We spend most nights there watching the sunset, and on our last night, Marc proposed. It was just the two of us and it was absolutely perfect.

Where did you go to honeymoon?

We didn’t want to honeymoon right after because we had already been apart from our dog for two weeks. We plan to honeymoon in Italy after our friends’ wedding next Spring.
