How did you meet?

Derris and I met old school…at a bar! His friends knew my friends and we ended up talking all night long, the rest is history!

When did you know they were the one?

He knew almost instantly, he says! After a few weeks of dating I knew Derris was different and a very rare soul to come across – I couldn’t let him go!

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner

His kindness, patience and caring heart

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I saw a photo of Stevie a few years ago and just knew it was my dress. The lace is so unique and I’ve never seen anything more “me”

Who proposed and how?

He proposed to me in Laguna Beach (Nov.10.2018) with a picnic and a surprise staycation! After he asked me we headed to a near by rooftop bar where he had all of our family waiting to celebrate with us!

What was the best moment for you at the wedding?

Having everyone we love in one place to celebrate such a big day with us!

What surprised you most at or about your wedding?

How calm everything was…I think you just hit a certain point and you are like “Whatever! I’m getting MARRIED today!!!” and all the stress goes out the window!

What advice would you tell other brides?

Have a solid support system every step of the way! We were surrounded by family and friends who were willing to roll up their sleeves and help us wherever we needed, whenever we needed! They were all about whatever we wanted as a couple. Also, if you don’t have to have a bridal party…don’t! We stood up there all by ourselves and it was so intimate and perfect…not to mention, you don’t deal with any of the unnecessary drama of a huge bridal party.
