How did you meet?

My husband and I met at a bible studies. His cousin (who is one of my closest friends) introduced us after one session and the whole time I was thinking in my head “Is she trying to set me up, it’s not gonna happen” little did I know that God had a plan and that I’d fall in love with him soon after LOL.

When did you know they were the one?

After our first date. I remember my brother messaging me asking me how the date went and I responded by saying “I think I’m going to marry him”.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

His faith in Jesus, His humour/silliness and his patience.

Who proposed and how?

He did! He recreated our first date – a picnic next to the Harbour – and then took me for a two minute walk to an area he and his mum had decorated with flower petals. When we were walking up to it, it didn’t even click to me that he was proposing so I thought it was just a pretty decoration on the floor LOL I was literally thinking “that’s a nice decoration” and then he got on one knee and I realised what was happening.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I’m a very indecisive person so when I was looking for my dress I went online first instead of immediately going into stores. I looked at a bunch of different brands and made with love was the only one that had more that one dress that I loved and I also found your stuff unique to other brands so I decided to give it a shot. The only dress I didn’t think I was going to try was the dress I fell in love with, I purchased it then and there.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

The ceremony – when we were declared husband and wife for the first time.

What were your favourite details?

Honestly there’s too many to chose from but the funniest part of the day was when my two year old niece (flowergirl) walked over and stood between my husband and I seconds before the minister said you may kiss the bride. Perfect timing!

What advice would you tell other brides?

In the midst of planning a wedding it’s so easy to get caught up in the little details and to lose sight of why you’re getting married in the first place. Always remember that the reason for the whole day is to start living the rest of your life with your best friend right by your side.
