How did you meet?

This is a love story for the modern era, we met where all the happy and successful relationships start (LOL), on Tinder. It was love at first sight. I sent the first message, but Paul was quick not to miss the opportunity and asked me out after about a week. In one of my most hasty decisions, I said yes.

When did you know they were the one?

When walking back home one night after work and a drink, I turned to look at him, but he was already looking at me.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

That he says “I love you” every day. That he makes me coffee every morning. That he is there for me when I need him the most.

Who proposed and how?

Although we were stuck together in a small apartment/office (because of COVID), we did not kill each other and really enjoyed it. One fateful night, we talked. Then we first said that we wanted to get married. On our 2nd anniversary, Paul picked up the ring and when he got home (eager to open the champagne) he knelt down and asked the question. Mary (also with an eye on the champagne) said yes and the rest is history.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

Looking for a dress (online due to lockdown), I fell upon MWL dresses. I loved the lace patterns, designs, but most of all, I loved that I saw the dresses on girls with a body type I can relate to. I could see myself wearing it. Although I like all MWL designs and tried on many of them, Harlie was the one for me. The shapes on the lace, the Art Deco vibe was all I could ever ask, but never imagined before.

What was the best moment for you at the wedding?

Exchanging our vows in front of our family and friends. And DANCING!!

What were your favourite details?

We organised our wedding and every detail ourselves. We made the wedding favours (cacti wrapped with burlap and lace) by hand.
And that Harlie looked amazing with the sunset light!

What advice would you tell other brides?

Please do not stress on your special day.
I know it’s easy to say it now that everything went well for me. I was very stressed for the ceremony to go according to plan, for the guests to enjoy the party, to not break any of the local restrictions. But, everything will go well. First of all, MWL dresses are so comfortable that you won’t even think about changing or feel heavy. And all that matters is for you and your partner to have fun and think about this day with love and all the fun you had dancing all night!

Our amazing DJ, Stratos Tzovenos. The baker with the most delicious sweet treats, Maria Biou. The website “With Joy”, that helped us stayed organised and invite the guests.
