How did you meet?
We actually met in elementary school, were friends in high school, but didn’t start dating until a few years after college. We reconnected at a friends wedding and a few months later he moved back to Texas from Utah to pursue firefighting (and me)!
When did you know they were the one?
Early into the relationship with how easy it was. Honestly a night on my couch with my golden retriever watching Game Of Thrones and eating dinner thinking “I could do this forever.”
What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?
His loyalty, caring heart, and ambition. Not to mention his good looks.
Who proposed and how?
He proposed in Moab Utah at sunset at Dead Horse Point State Park. This was my first time in Moab where he lived for multiple years, so now it holds a special place in both of our hearts forever. We were visiting his friend, who happens to be a photographer (convenient). I never planned how I wanted this moment to be, but that was it.
Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?
Lovely Bridal boutique in Dallas, TX. The Stella was the dress I went to look at and the second dress I tried on. It just felt right. When I saw it in the natural light with the veil and turned around to see the back, I was sold instantly. The lace was so beautiful and unique. I had never seen anything like it!
What was the best moment for you at the wedding?
The intimate final dance together. It was raw and emotional. Just having that final moment alone in our venue dancing to our song was everything. I ugly cried.
What advice would you tell other brides?
Be present. Take a moment with your groom to look around at all those celebrating you. Don’t stress about the details! You barely notice them the day of.
What were your favourite details?
Everything! Loved all the floral and my jewellery. My accent ring was my recent grandmother’s who passed the day my husband asked my parents for their support in him proposing. Also, my necklace was a natural pearl of my great grandmother’s that my mom wore on her wedding day!
Any standout vendors?
All of them! My photographer, planner and florist truly made my dream come to life. And my DJ sure did give us the party we wanted!
