How did you meet?

We met in high school, casually flirting within large groups and eventually I made the first move. He thought he was extra funny when rather than giving me his phone number, I had to hunt it down if I wanted to hang out with him. You bet I did!

When did you know they were the one?

He went off to college a year before me and while we always tried keeping our options open at that time, we always came right back to each other! I knew pretty early on…but I still can’t believe my high school sweetheart ended up being the one!

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

He’s a momma’s boy you’d want to take home to your own mom, he does all of my least favorite chores (like dishes and folding clothes!!!), and he is the most positive person I know with a true carpe diem attitude!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I knew I would get a MWL dress but never expected it to be Riley! I went to a&be bridal in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was the second dress I tried on and I was blown away. My family and best friend kept raving about how much they loved it…and I had never felt more comfortable yet sexy and beautiful all in one! It was my first and only bridal appointment and I made my decision it that day.

Who proposed and how?

Last year while I was teaching kindergarten, he coordinated the proposal with my coworkers. I came into my room and all of my students wore T-Shirts that said “Say Yes” followed by my name. I was completely surprised and confused initially, but it was the easiest “yes!” I’ve ever said.
