Madison + Justin

How did you meet?

We met at our first job together at just 14 years old. He was my crush for the first 2 years and I was terrified to even talk to him cause he was just so cute. At 16 he asked me out to the movies and we’ve been inseparable for 10 years now.

When did you know they were the one?

The first time he ever spoke to me, I knew if he ever gave me the time of day, he would change my life. Fast forward to our first movie date and we showed up 45 minutes early and sat in that silent, empty theatre talking away, I knew right then and there that I would never go on another first date or have another first kiss, cause I was right, he changed my life in a matter of seconds and he’s been changing it ever since.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Caring, Warm, and Loyal

Who proposed and how?

Justin proposed at our family photo shoot we were taking with our new puppy! At the end of the shoot we were taking some couple shots and I turned around and he was on one knee. We were both crying so hard we couldn’t get more than “will you marry me” and “yes” out. It was one of the best moments of my life.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

Tommy Crepe was one of the first dresses I saved on Pinterest after we got engaged. I searched everywhere for it and thankfully found it! It so simple and elegant and timeless. I even added the Elsie bows to my dress because I had just fell in love with them on other brides.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Our “first touch”. I walked up behind Justin and hugged him from behind and we both sobbed, it was one of the most special moments I have ever experienced.

What were your favourite details?

There were 3 details that we absolutely loved about our wedding.
1. We had all our guests wear black so Justin and I stood out in the crowd. It was the coolest thing.
2. We had Justin walk out after our flower boy, directly before me, so he could have his own special moment.
3. We couldn’t have our dog at our wedding so we incorporated him in almost everything we did. He was on Justin’s cuff links, the bar was named after him, and there were pictures of him on our head table with a sign that said “Happy Wedding Day, Mom & Dad”. It was so special to us.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Your day will turn out exactly as it is meant to be. All the stressful planning leading up means nothing the day of, all that matters is your marrying the love of your life, surrounded by everyone you love, who are all their to celebrate you. Also the whole day goes by so fast, cherish every single second, it is so fun.
