Maddi + Daniel

How did you meet?

On Tinder in Dec 2016!
I messaged him first and we got chatting!! It was like we had known each other for years. We formed a connection without even meeting. We had our first date and I fell head over heels. The connection and chemistry we had from the moment we met was incredible.

When did you know they were the one?

Only a few weeks after we started dating, I dislocated my knee. Daniel was the one who popped it back in for me. His patience, his soft touch, his willingness to help me and keep me calm and take care of me was beyond anything I have ever experienced. From that moment I knew he was the one I wanted to marry.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

So many to choose!!
His kind heart!
His beautiful eyes!
His courage!

Who proposed and how?

Daniel proposed to me at the top of Mount Macedon. We were working away together and we went for a walk after we finished a long day.

There had been a storm that came through so a few roads were blocked due to trees falling down. So we found somewhere to park and made our way up to the top, climbing over and under trees. It was a journey!

We made it to the top and it was so beautiful, the sun was setting and the valley was glowing. It was just us and we sat on a little log and looked at the view. Daniel stood up and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him in the most beautiful way possible!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I loved Made with Love dresses since I first saw them on Instagram and always knew that I would wear one!

A photo of a new dress called Darcy was put on Instagram, it only showed a snippet…
The short sleeves and the detailing made me instantly loved but I kept an open mind.

I tried on so many in the Melbourne Store but the feeling when I had Darcy on was mind-blowing. I felt so beautiful and emotional! It felt like the dress had been made for me!

I’m still so I love with my dress!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

All of it! From start to finish it was absolutely incredible! The day was so relaxed and enjoyable!

Of course, seeing my Husband standing at the top of the aisle is of course my favourite. Seeing his beautiful smile and the way he looked at me, fills my heart with so much love.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Embrace every moment. Don’t worry about the small stuff, no one will ever know apart from you if something is missing from the table.

Take time out with your husband to chat about your day and watch everyone having the best time.
Make him your toilet buddy, those little moment just you two is funny & intimate.

Reminder – Deep breaths and enjoy your day (as it goes so fast & you’ll only do it once, hopefully)

What were your favourite details?

The way my vision had all come together. Seeing the table arrangements, the flowers, the decor everything come together made me extremely proud of myself.
