How did you meet?

I met Austin on vacation with my best friend! I was visiting New York City from Canada and he was roommates with my best friend’s friend. I knew right away he was something special and was so sad to leave New York. Luckily we kept in touch and a long distance whirlwind romance unfolded.

When did you know they were the one?

Austin invited be back to New York City at Christmas and he planned the most amazing week. We saw The Nutcracker, explored the holiday festivities, and really got to know each other. He went above and beyond to make our time together meaningful and special. That was when I knew I had stumbled upon someone truly special.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

His kindness, his intelligence, and his willingness to always humour me and laugh at my jokes!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I fell in love with Harper at Pearl & Dot in Calgary Alberta. She was perfection – classic, sophisticated, and sexy.

Who proposed and how?

One morning when I was visiting Austin in Denver he convinced me to go on an early morning hike at Red Rocks to watch the sunrise. After we watched the beautiful sunrise we hiked around the park and ended up on a secluded path and stopped on the cutest little bridge. Austin put his hands on my shoulders, took a few steps back and started saying some very wonderful things. The next thing I knew he had dropped to one knee and asked me the best question I have ever been asked!

Where did you go to Honeymoon?

We went on a big adventure to South Africa and Zimbabwe. We started in Cape Town, explore South Africa’s wine regions, and went on an amazing safari. We ended the honeymoon in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. It was by far the best adventure we have ever been on!
