How did you meet?

James and I knew each other from afar through my brother growing up, and I always thought he was dreamy. He sent me a message randomly on Instagram when I was living in Edinburgh and he in Guernsey, Channel Islands. I was visiting Guernsey the following month, where we met romantically, and realised quickly that we might have something special!

When did you know they were the one?

We went on holiday with some friends and he didn’t know my friends and they didn’t know him, but he was amazing and they loved him.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

His compassion, generosity and sense of humour.

Who proposed and how?

James proposed after an early morning walk to a bench on the cliffs of Guernsey. He then surprised me by taking me and our families to the island of Sark for an amazing lunch.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

In London with Tove. I had seen it online and wanted to try it on with another few, but when I tried it on I felt so comfortable but classy, and knew it was the one.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

The whole thing! My brother performed at the church ceremony which was so special, but honestly I loved every moment.

What were your favourite details?

The ceremony, photographs on the coast of Guernsey, the speeches (my Dad, James, me and our best man, Jack), the food, the band and dancing.

What advice would you tell other brides?

It will all come together, and don’t worry about impressing anyone else – you will have the best day ever!!
