How did you meet?
We met back in 2007 at the sports centre where we both played Basketball. Adam tried to make the first move by asking for help putting a plaster on but I completely ignored him to answer a phone call so he ended up having to ask my best friend instead! He called me later that night off a mutual friends phone to try again to speak to me and lucky for him I answered this time.
When did you know they were the one?
I can’t put it down to one thing exactly but after 15.5 years and 2 children, it has always been him. From the moment we met, no one else mattered.
What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?
He’ll do anything for me and our daughters and always puts us first.
He is an old romantic at heart- always pulling out my chair (although on our wedding day I got to our table before him after our grand entrance and sat down before he could pull my chair out and he was mortified!), making sure he walks road side when we are out etc
Who proposed and how?
He proposed on a random Friday evening at home with both of our children there. It was perfect and very emotional.
Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?
I visited Love Bridal in Altrincham, Cheshire (England) with my mum and my best friend. I booked the appointment as soon as I could as I knew they stocked Made with love dresses and I had fallen in love with them online. If I didn’t find a dress here then I would have had no idea what to do!
I tried on 6 Made with Love dresses- Belle being number 4. As soon as I tried her on I just knew it was the one. I felt amazing and nothing else compared. My youngest daughter is called Bella and my eldest is Lily (like the flower). So choosing Belle was just the perfect symbolic dress to represent them too!
What was the best moment for you at your wedding?
The whole day- it was perfect. I felt like I floated around, glass of fizz in hand, all day. I especially loved the speeches where my dad, our two best men, our eldest daughter and my husband spoke. Our daughter had the whole room in tears and it truly made the day even more special. We waited to get married so our children could be such a huge part of it and it definitely made the day. Celebrating with everyone at night and partying was also a highlight! We were lucky to get married abroad so had a whole week of celebrations!
What were your favourite details?
I can’t even pin point one thing- everything was just perfect. All of our suppliers and our planner just made the day incredible.
What advice would you tell other brides?
Don’t worry about the small things, it all comes together eventually and just enjoy the day. You are on such a cloud on the day you don’t notice anyway! Try to take it all in as it flies by! Oh, and if it’s in your budget- get a planner/coordinator, ours were worth their weight in gold and made our day seamless.
Any Standout Vendors?
Our photographers Phosart were incredible as well as our singer Louis Vlahakis and pianist Raphael Sigalas. But our main one was our planner Charlotte May Weddings!
