How did you meet?

We met through our University, we connected through Tinder after realizing we went to the same school in the same program!

When did you know they were the one?

On the first date! He was so kind, sweet, and lovely. He spoke so highly of his family, we had similar career aspirations and a lot of shared interests. We ended up chatting all night long back at my place, so late that he had to stay over! He was so polite and sweet about just hanging out and chatting.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

He is immensely patient, super smart, and incredibly humble. Oh, and his big muscles!!! 😉

Who proposed and how?

Jason proposed at my family cottage. He orchestrated a “family photo shoot” so I would have my hair and makeup done, and then we went on a winter hike with our Goldendoodle. He put the ring on our dog’s collar and waited for me to see it when we got to a scenic sitting spot!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I found my dress at The Modern Bride. I loved how unique it was, and how it felt organic to the cottage setting we were getting married at. It flowed right into the environment, matching the beautiful trees and greenery, and of course the lemons! I loved how it fit and the design from head to toe was beyond words stunning.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

My husband and his groomsmen arrived by boat to our ceremony, and I was able to peek my head out the window and see them arriving before he saw me. That was such a special moment where it felt like time stopped.
Also when I sat down for dinner at our head table under the hanging lemons. It was a dream come true, with a theme “Amalfi Coast on the Georgian Bay”

What advice would you tell other brides?

To enjoy the whole process and not just that one day! It does go by so fast, and I am so glad that I really soaked up the whole wedding week of preparations, setting up the event, our friends and family arriving at the cottage, and every other moment leading up!
