Lara + Mohammad

How did you meet?

I used to work at Nespresso in the shopping centre and he passed in front of the shop, saw me, decided to come in and pretend to be a client. I noticed him immediately and went over to assist him, we spoke briefly, he then came back 1-2 times and the third time was the charm, he asked me for my phone number and we haven’t stopped talking since!

When did you know they were the one?

It is crazy to say, but as soon as I saw him I had butterflies. I enjoyed our first date so much and our non-stop phone conversations. We had so much in common, we loved to travel and there was never a dull moment. He was and still so charming and thoughtful. I knew he was the one when I felt at home with him.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

He’s patient, always smiling and takes good care of me. I can always go to him for anything. His presence makes me feel at ease.

Who proposed and how?

It was beautiful. He knew I wanted something special with us. So he recreated our first date three years later, an escape room. He pretended to play, and let me solve the game on my own so that I could find the key that would open the safe where the ring had been placed all this time. When I turned around he was already on his knees asking me to marry him!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I first saw it on your website, Made with Love Bridal, and looked for a store in Montreal that had it. Dress Scoop did, and as soon as I saw it in person I fell in love all over again. The details, the train, everything about it was what I was looking for and more !

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

My best moment was feeling all the love from our friends and families, but also seeing everything we’d been working on for over a year in front of our eyes, even more beautiful than we’d ever imagined!

What were your favourite details?

My dress with the 3D flowers was the detail that caught everyone’s attention, I also wanted the decor to be filled with white flowers with a touch of black for a romantic and warm feeling. The entrance had a flower arch where the guests passed under to enter the venue, with a sand candle path and the sound of the violinist in the background. The groom’s socks were from Disney for this special day. The groomsmen socks were also disney themed in blue as “our something blue”. I’m a Disney Fan, and that was our little touch of magic.

What advice would you tell other brides?

It’s the most beautiful and important night of your life! Enjoy every moment with your other half because it’s over in the blink of an eye. Everyone is there to celebrate you two!
