Lakminie + Ross
How did you meet?
We met on bumble the summer of 2019. Ross was in town for a baseball game and I was out drinking with friends. After a couple weeks of messaging we agreed to meet in person and the rest was history.
When did you know they were the one?
I knew Ross was the one after our first date. Things were so easy for 2 strangers meeting for the first time. At the end of the night Ross gave me an awkward side hug and then drove 1.5 hours back home – he was so respectful I knew he was special.
What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?
1. He’s selfless
2. His love
3. His ability to be himself
Who proposed and how?
Ross proposed in may of 2020. We were back in his hometown with both of our families. They had never met before and it was Mother’s Day weekend. We were in the backyard with our dogs and families when he got down on one knee. I was in complete shock and had no idea it was even coming!
Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?
I originally fell in love with mwl River online. The boutique in Omaha happened to have it in store and when I saw my the dress in person I really knew it was meant for me. I tried on 2 others to humour everyone but there was no comparison.
What was the best moment for you at the wedding?
The best moment for me was seeing Ross at the end of the alter. We didn’t do a first look and once I saw him everything just melted away.
What were your favourite details?
We did tie patches on my dads tie and Ross’ tie. My dad had a picture of me and him and Ross’ had a picture of him and his dad who is passed.
What advice would you tell other brides?
Don’t stress, it’s so hard not to but everything will fall into place so worrying doesn’t do anything.
Any standout vendors?
Our photographer Kara, she built our timeline and captured all the best moments – she captured us a couple and we couldn’t be happier with our photos.
