Kylie + Mac

How did you meet?

Mac and I met in college at a party-a classic story! We both sat and talked on the apartment balcony and we both left that conversation feeling something special but neither expecting what was in store. There was a summer in between the school years that we met, but once we returned to school that fall we were inseparable from the start. It was a fast a quick love but we both cherish our relationship and how we met at a small school in Alabama with a total of 1200 students ! We’ve quite literally grown up together and that is something I could not appreciate more.

When did you know they were the one?

I think we both knew at the same moment. It was so sudden it swept us both off our feet! We were about a month into officially dating and 3 months of knowing each other. We were in my college dorm room hanging out and we both just took a moment and were like wow this is real and scary but so special. We said I love you shortly after <3. When I was trying to tell Mac I loved him, I was so nervous that I made him think I was breaking up with him- LOL. Luckily he took the reigns and said I love you first.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

He is caring beyond belief.
He is HILARIOUSLY quirky.
and he is loyal.

All of these attributes and many more are just a few of the reasons I fell in love with him.

Who proposed and how?

We dated for 3.5 years before he proposed. He proposed on a nature walk with our two labs in Dallas, TX where we live! I figured out what was happening when Mac told me to dress cute for our walk earlier that week 😉

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I fell in love with Cameron surrounded by my 2 best friends and mom & aunt. I had actually seen the Cameron announcement on Instagram and thought wow I LOVE THIS DRESS but I was not sure if it would look good on. I had tried on some other dresses at other shops but when I arrived at a&be Dallas, I tried this beauty on and immediately knew. It was instant tears and being with my closest girls made it that much more special. I got so many compliments with this dress. IT is so unique and different and matched my style and vibe perfectly. Thank you xx.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

The best moment for me was the first look and ceremony. We were both so nervous the day of but that first look allowed us to take a moment for just the 2 of us and get those nerves out. After that, we could really sit back and enjoy the day. The ceremony was oh so special because that is where we became OFFICIAL and we were surrounded by all our friends and family. I also loved just being in the town of St. Augustine, FL (the oldest city in the US!). It was so special just roaming around town and taking fun and unique photos together.

What were your favourite details?

Aside from the dress and the way I could remove the sleeves for the reception?!! I truly loved St. Augustine. It has an old European feel to it. It was. stunning backdrop for the most perfect day. Our venue- The Treasury on the Plaza was an old bank that was transformed into a wedding venue. The bar was in the old vault doors- how cool?! The entire day was just so magical and it is a day I will forever hold dear to my heart.

What advice would you tell other brides?

It will all be worth it! There are many stressful moments throughout the planning process but once the day arrives, you will feel so special and happy. Remember to spend time with your partner. After all this celebration is for you both! Be silly, goof off, don’t be too serious :).

Any Stand out vendours?

My photographer was first and foremost such a special vendor. After all, they are capturing all of your special moments that you will look back on for years!
She did an amazing job capturing my vision and getting some really artsy shots!

My venue was stunning! I can not say enough kind words about the staff and the look & feel of the Treasury on the Plaza. It is simply stunning.
