How did you meet?

My husband and I met at a little hoedunk bar one night during football season. I walked into the bar when I went out with my parents and their friends. I noticed him sitting at the bar with his dad and we would make eye contact but immediately look away from each other. He bought me a drink and wrote his number down on the back of a free drink card.

When did you know they were the one?

My husband: She would come to visit me in college and she didn’t want to leave my side. She put me before herself. I told her I’m a type one diabetic and she didn’t run away from me.
Me: He would come and make surprise visits to stay the night with me when I was in clinical. If I had a rough day at clinical he’d surprise me with ice cream and stay the night.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Husband: Eyes, smile, butt/legs.
Me: Thoughtfulness, his laugh, his beard.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I found my dress at A&Bé Bridal. The very first bridal shop that we went to. My wedding dress specialist picked out 6-7 different dresses for me to try on because I was game for any style besides a whole lot of poof. The dress that I bought was the very first dress I tried on. After every dress I tried on I would consistently go into the dressing room and nonchalantly touch the dress and while trying on a different dress I would be staring at the first dress out of the corner of my eye. I would come out and face the women I went with and then face myself in the mirror. When I came out in the dress I loved I would stand taller and face myself first and then face the other women. My specialist already knew what dress I wanted.

Who proposed and how?

Cullen (husband) proposed to me. He got my whole family involved with proposing to me. He had my mom tell me that we had family pictures coming up and we had to go get a new outfit and our nails done. So she and I went and got a new outfit and got our nails done. After we got done pampering ourself we went back and got ready to go get these family pictures done. My mom, stepdad, and I, along with my dog and my moms’ dog, hopped in the vehicle to go meet Cullen for pictures and my aunt and uncle were going to meet us at the park for their family pictures too. We pull in and get out of the vehicle and I’m looking for the photographer and my aunt is like “get close together I’ll take a family picture of you guys.” So we get all close and Cullen turns to me and is like “I have a surprise for you, turn around.” Here comes my cousin holding this adorable puppy with a balloon tied to the collar and a card. I’m in awe of this adorable puppy that what I read in the card I didn’t even comprehend and I turn around and there Cullen was down on one knee holding the most beautiful ring I’ve ever seen. Needless to say, I said yes! We got to keep the puppy too.
